The Book Lover's Companion for Kids

The Book Lover's Companion journal is a place for your child to explore and record their reading journey.

With a variety of ways to record their life in books, the journal includes space to:

• Write fifty personal book reviews - each with thoughtful prompts, room to free write, and space to draw
• Identify and explore how a book made them feel (with help identifying and writing about their emotions)
• Record books lent and borrowed
• List their own story ideas
• Create a "To Read" list
• Spark thoughtful conversation with peers and family via the book club discussion questions (these also serve as inspiration for written book reports!)
• Record how many books were read in a year with the Reading Habits Calendar (containing for four different years' worth of records)

How many books can be reviewed within the journal?

The journal includes space for fifty books reviews.

How much room is included to write reviews?

Each book review space includes one page of guided prompts and one for writing notes and drawing.

Does the journal need to be started at the beginning of a new year?

No! Kids can start tracking books read at the beginning of a new year or in the middle of a current one.
