The Book of Joy

Joy Dubois is a young, faithful Christian woman who is engaged and headed towards her dream life. Everything suddenly goes topsy-turvey when her fianc decides to leave her, Joy finds herself doubting God and wondering why He would allow her dreams to fall into ruin.

From this place of imbalance, Joy begins a job as an advocate for rape survivors in the town of Moon River made famous by its vineyards and filled with odd yet inspired people. While working through a variety of issues like relationships, work, sex, death, alcohol, service, assault, justice, play, and the church, Joy embarks on a spiritual journey toward the truth. Along the way, she crosses paths with the disenfranchised, the faithful, atheists, sinners, and God himself in striking, humorous, sad, eye-opening, and thought-provoking ways. Her story is brought to life by the inclusion of relatable music and grounded in Biblical truths.
