Andrew Bibby walks south from Edinburgh through the Scottish borders to the Cheviots and the English border and then carries on until he reaches North Yorkshire and the river Swale. Andrew Bibby is a writer and journalist whose journalism has appeared in the British narional press and whose previous books on landscape issues, travel and the outdoors include Backbone of England: Landscape and Life on the Pennine Watershed, and Back Roads through Middle England. A member of the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild, he says his aim is to celebrate the beauty of the British countryside by interpreting why it looks the way it does.
