The Bowdoin And Temple Papers

This is a collection of historical documents and correspondence from the late 18th century, edited and annotated by Nathaniel Bradstreet Shurtleff. The documents in the volume relate primarily to the diplomatic and political relations between the colonies of Massachusetts and New York during the period leading up to the American Revolution. The correspondents include James Bowdoin, Sir John Temple, and Thomas Lindall Winthrop, among others.
