Dr. Mabry is known in academic circles and rural communities as "A one woman A-Team for students in need." But Dr. Mabry didn't always start out as a box breaker. She became a box breaker for sheer survival. For the first time, Dr. Mabry writes this story with both her children and the families in the communities where she implemented her programs.
