The Cane

This story is about fear, change of attitude, and friendship. A little girl’s fear of a grizzled old man from her neighborhood, turns into one of the best friendships of her life.

An old man whose heart has been hardened by the loss of his family finds that he can love again. The friendship and love of a little girl opens his heart to the world around him and gives him the family he lost so long ago.

Together they turn an untimely meeting into a lifelong friendship. This is a friendship that changes the attitudes and future of the whole town , as well as the little girl and the old man.
