The Collector of Shadows

Elijah Sterling struggled for most of his life to support his children after the sudden loss of his beloved wife and soulmate. After they take off to start their own lives he attempts to reinvent his own. He embarks on a journey to New Orleans in search of a second chance of the supernatural kind and he soon realizes that the price of this "new" life might be more than he bargained for. However, his luck only lasts as long as he stays in New Orleans, because as soon as he attempts to leave and return home it makes him an immediate target for collection. He quickly realizes that he's actually a prisoner and not just a visitor. He and his newfound friends and love must outrun the grasp of the Shadow Men long enough to return to NY and become a part of the next chapter of his life. The soul owner's control reaches much further than any of them could have ever imagined and now it's a race against time to escape with his soul still intact. Who will be strong enough to avoid being collected?
