Freya was returning home to the beautiful wilderness of western Canada after finishing her second medical degree away at University in Belfast. When she returned to Everglenn, the home built into a business by her matriarch of a great-grandmother, she expected her stoic existence to return to its predictable patterns. The peaceful solace she always found within the forest surrounding Everglenn has been replaced by both intimidation and intrigue as Freya comes to discover that her life is inextricably linked to the woodlands. Fierce, beautiful, intelligent and a natural healer, Freya comes to mistrust herself, and her heart, when the latter is inexplicably broken at the demand of the matriarch, and her dreams begin to take a realistic turn uncovering truth in their frightening origins.
