The Conquest of the Old Southwest

What was once considered the southwest in Colonial times is now known as the southeast. Archibald Henderson (1877-1963) was an American Mathematics professor who wrote on a range of subjects including history and drama. The Conquest of the Old Southwest is the romantic story of the early pioneers who traveled into Virginia, The Carolinas, Tennessee and Kentucky (1740 to 1790). It is an exciting adventure story of the southward and westward migration of Europeans. They came in waves traveling throughout the entire course of the eighteenth century. This is the history of the growth and evolution of American democracy.
