North London, 1997. Follow Detective Inspector MICHELLE DAVEY and orphaned schoolgirl, RYE TURPIN, as they each try to solve the murder of a missing teenager, to whom they seemingly have no connection, besides the spirit. 

For MICHELLE, it’s a question of whether her new-found distraction will hinder her dream of promotion, if not ruin her career. Aside from the otherworldly forces, she is all-the-while fighting the “boy’s club” mentality of the police force. 

Thankfully, RYE has her friends to rely upon, and an overprotective sister. Though, as she turns sixteen, she may too be in danger. And not just from the perils and pitfalls of navigating adolescence. 

With their new-found ability to see the dead, their paths cross before converging in a climactic battle against the forces that would rather this murder remains a mystery.
