All Shekklah Y'Tierahk wanted was peace and quiet, far away from the busy world of Ceyroa, so full of science and sorcery. For nearly a thousand years, she kept her wicked past behind her, wondering if it would ever catch up. That was before a mortal thief named Shyver Fynn broke into her hoard to steal a single gold coin.

Once the thief found her, others did as well, and they all wanted something from the immortal dragon; her fortune, magic, or blood.

Now, the only way to have a future is to face her past. Shyver says he has a plan, but can she trust him? With a hoard to protect, she knows all about thieves, and this one is full of deceptions. Are his lingering glances sincere or just distractions?

As Shy drags her into adventure, double-crosses, and dangerous escapes, Shekklah knows the last thing she needs is to fall in love with a mortal thief.
