"Come on! Come on Lima Bean strike this lulu out!" Eddie Eagle Claw Lima towered over the top of the pitcher's mound. His back was lined with sweat. He straightened his cap, palmed the ball in his mitt, waiting on Knuckles O'Brien to give the pitch sign. It was June 1926. There was a heat wave here in Benton. I can't recall what part of June it had been. I do remember the game.
