Dr. Marten Keyser has incurable cancer. With nothing to lose he survives by pursuing a drug regime of his own devising. Already unpopular with the powerbrokers in the dystopian healthcare system, he then develops a light-based therapy, but his low-cost innovation threatens the power balance and a cat-and-mouse game of survival ensues.
