'My collections are non linear narratives created from interlinked sequences, each and every sequence and movement acting like a chapter in a novel to a narrative that dwells in an extra sensory space, each poem speaking its own voice at once shamanic magic realist, sometimes brutal realist urban and otherwordly, a safari through a world always on the edge of collapse, an effort to exorcise it, to spell cast it, to chant it and to save it.' This edition contains at the back the earliest versions of the first four sequences and although the Excanto exists in four separate volumes, in another edition, this new edition is the version that the Poet prefers, like a novel in scope. A strange journey made manifest.
