This book follows an African-American boy "Mason" on a journey with his grandfather meeting various engineers as he looks for ideas to prepare his toy car for the "big race". It displays the different types of engineering disciplines and how their work contributes to everyday life. It is a great book to introduce children to the world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics).
