The Exploration of Mars, first published in 1956, is a detailed guidebook for mankind's first expedition to Mars. Authored by science writer Willy Ley and noted aerospace engineer Wernher Von Braun, it is based on the scientific and engineering capabilities available in 1956. Illustrated by space artist Chesley Bonestell, the book remains today a classic in the space engineering field. This facsimile reprint is an affordable alternative to the elusive hardcover edition. It is printed on 50lb white paper which can slightly warp on pages with heavy ink illustrations on both sides.
