The Face Behind The Mask

This is the story of a mothers fight to save her child from repeated abuse at the hands of her father. This young girl is caught in a justice system so full of holes that it is responsible for forcing her to return to an abusive father. She lived each day afraid of what he would do next. As he pointed a 9mm in her face he says,"this is what i do people who make me mad and shakes it."Children everyday are sent into abuse by a system that fails to protect them and provide for the basic need to be safe.She nearly broke as each person down the chain passed the buck. The strength of her mom kept her fighting until they could see just how broken she was. She was made to feel it was her fault. She was called a liar. How can our system victimize a child for speaking. Glue cant fix abuse and band aids don't stick so we must not be silenced by abuse. Her tears fell until they could come no more.
