The Fair

Julia Swift is terribly sexy. Unfortunately, there's nothing she can do about it. While attempting to hide in plain sight from a world she fears only wants to use her, she is claimed as a personal stylist by vivacious socialite, Vérité Claire, a glamorous eccentric with a penchant for guiding talented oddballs along paths to meet their potential.

Her curious crew includes sassy housekeeper, Lotte, insanely jealous biographer, Bernard, and eventually Orson Vaughn, a hulking outcast living in self-imposed exile since being betrayed by those closest to him in his shameful past. In spite of Julia's trust issues and Orson's tendency toward self-sabotage, the two grow closer through a series of exchanged favours until two people who are trying very hard to be invisible are seeing an awful lot of each other. Will a final favour which sees Julia helping Orson in a revenge plot against former adversaries put too great a strain on their unlikely relationship and prevent it from blossoming into more? If Vérité Claire has anything to do with it then the answer is 'Not a chance, darlings!'.
