The Final Choosing

Despite the demands of being Deceris' Chosen, life has been peaceful for Mirah as the world steadily recovers from yrebis' attempt to dominate it and annihilate humanity by unleashing a devastating winter just two years before. She should have known it wouldn't last. One night as she sits within the gazebo watching the world slip into slumber, the scent of the first fragrant blooms of a promising spring filling the air, Deceris calls out to her bringing a warning regarding an unnatural being usurping a destiny not his to fulfill.
