Have you ever heard of the practice of 'Game'? The known 'art of seduction' had its good times in the last 15 years, but the traces go back much earlier, and the consequences are still present for us.

This book sets up a journey in discovering the origins, but more importantly, maps the personal journey into the decline of publicity of the pickup artists, and reveal the different possibilities and venues I chose to practice the game, as a different path from social circle game, predominant in recent times.

'The fragments of the game' claims that the game is broken, but ignites a careful search, to discover the pieces, not in order to to rebuild pickup, but to declare its permanence.

---

There are certain social movements, underground cultures and private practices that configure this social landscape of today. One of them is the pickup communities of the late 2000s, that remains alive still in some factions.

The Pickup Art communities treat The Social as a form of art. Thus, they become exposed the same logics of art, and the same logics of preservation of culture, and its opposite, the replacement of ideas.

If we view the social activity purely as an art, we could see it as a thing you could study and get better, as any human activity. But how this social art form became an art on its own right ?

Understanding this question, allow us to get a renewed sense of this outlook at 'the social as a game', not in order to win all the time, but to enjoy it as a practice, on a daily basis.

The outcome of this art, game and social equation is the inquiry of this book, where the focus lies on the personal and impersonal considerations, mixed with experiences and detailed nuances, about seeing our very lives as a game we could play and refine.

If we see closely to the story of the pickup communities, we would find many leaders and ideas that replace each other. But certainly one author has thrived against this logic, because, I think, the logic has been already anticipated by the very author, thus difficult to take it as a target, both internally in the community, but more importantly, immune to outside attacks.
