In 1919 Molly is young Protestant girl, working in Dublin Castle and in love for the first time. The Irish War of Independence catastrophically changes her life. She is drawn deeper and deeper into the struggle by the charismatic general, Michael Collins, who transforms her into Grainne, the most feared killer of the IRA. Thor affair and her capture lead inevitably, tragically, to one of the greatest mysteries of Irish history- the assassination of Collins.
