The idea of home prayer groups, home Bible studies or community groups is not new to the church. The difference is when that small group promotes the essential, evangelistic components of the New Testament Church. Therefore, this book is not an introduction of a new paradigm, but rather a return to the New Testament paradigm. It is the reigniting of the dual-pronged ministry of the first century church: The ministry of teaching and evangelism that took place in the temple or the public place and also from house to house (the apostles' model in Jerusalem - Acts 5:42 and the apostle Paul's model in his church planting ministry, i.e. Ephesus - Acts 20:20). Here is a book on the application of that apostolic model, therefore the title "The Growth Group Strategy."
