The Habitable Zone: The Intersection of Science and Faith

Physical life in the universe requires extreme precision of many factors and can only occur in the habitable zone of a solar system and galaxy. Likewise, spiritual life requires precision of various factors and occurs in the habitable zone of science, history, and faith. Standing in the way are at least three key forces: human nature, the Scientific community, and the Christian community.The Human problem: Little education is devoted to understanding human nature and its susceptibility. Ironically, in an age with so much information available, group-think and confirmation bias are at an all-time high. The Scientific problem: Views around origin-of-life and the rarity of earth have not adequately evolved with ongoing scientific discoveries made by trusted astrophysicists and chemists. The Christian problem: Beliefs that contradict both science and scripture have grown in popularity over the past 100 years. Many lives have been harmed by doctrine that promotes xenophobia and sexism, alienating many intellectual people of integrity.The author is a statistician and teacher who makes challenging concepts understandable. The Habitable Zone answers difficult questions, building on key insights as a precise spiritual ideology is revealed.
