"Flower shop?" I knelt on the bed and Galen stepped away from my dresser, toward me. "Am I too stupid to do anything else, or is that some kind of faerie crack?"

"No, sorry, my mistake. Flower shops are for kind faeries. You would do better to open up an Arthur Machen version of the DMV!"

My mouth dropped open. I didn't even know who Arthur Machen was, and I was still angry. I could have spit fire, lucky for Galen I'm not that kind of faerie.

**The Hollow

Anastasia "Andru" Weber was always different. That was the fact of her life. Only it wasn't so simple. From the day she was born strong faerie magik filled her blood and soul. When she was young she hid it, tried to ignore it, to not let the power inside her body rule her every action.

As a grown woman she tries to live a normal life as a military officer in the vampire nation where she was raised. But strange things have a way of creeping up on you when you're surrounded by ancient, sometimes volatile vampires. Especially if one of those scary vampires is your partner. A man who's jealous, territorial, and wanting to distract you from his seducing father, the General of the military.

As of late, dangerous things have been happening to Andru. Her magik is scattered and her discipline is crumbling. Her birthday celebration was targeted by terrorists leaving her seriously injured, again. When her partner is abducted during a routine military operation, the deadly situation might suggest a friendly foe rather than guerrilla extremists.

And still, that hidden earth magik haunts Andru. It drives her forward, pushing her, and those closest to her, into mortally dangerous situations. And when she comes face to face with a demon, the magik trapped inside refuses to stay hidden, forever changing the very fabric of Anastasia's life, and all who stand with her.
