What can you learn from St. Louis-Marie de Montfort's favorite Marian author?

A LOT.

This is the book that helped take him from being an ordinary Marian devotee to becoming the Gold Standard of Marian Saints.

Fr. Blain, St. Louis' best friend, said...

"As Louis-Marie devoted a lot of time to spiritual reading, he became familiar with nearly all books dealing with the spiritual life. Those which in my opinion were his favorites were those by the late Fr. Boudon. He would have liked everybody to join the society of the slaves of the Blessed Virgin. The source of this zeal was the book ("The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God") written on this subject by the late Fr. Boudon."

St. Louis wrote...

"Predestinate soul, here is a secret the Most High has taught me, which I have not been able to find in any book, old or new. I confide it to you, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit" ("The Secret of Mary", #1).

And even though he couldn't find this secret in any book, when he wanted to explain this secret to others, he quoted this book more than any other.

That's why Montfort Father Jean-Marie Texier wrote:

"The writings of this holy priest (Fr. Boudon) charmed the fervent seminarian (St. Louis-Marie) in his free time and gave a lively impulse to his momentum toward the good. But none captivated him as much as "The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God". It is a rich repertoire from which Montfort drew extensively when he composed his Treatise on the True Devotion. One finds, in effect, in the writings of Montfort, the thoughts of Boudon, and sometimes even his expressions."

Furthermore, this book expands on what St. Louis said he himself didn't have time to write. You'll recall that he said:

"I have now said many things about the Most Holy Virgin; but I have many more to say, and there are infinitely more which I shall omit, whether from ignorance, inability, or want of time, in the design which I have to form a true client of Mary, and a true disciple of Jesus Christ" ("True Devotion to Mary", #111).

This book fills in those gaps. It's a must-have for anyone who's serious about following St. Louis on the path of total consecration to Jesus through Mary. It's as simple as that.

St. Louis wrote...

"It is Mary alone who has found grace before God, without the aid of any other mere creature: it is only by her that all those who have found grace before God have found it at all; and it is only by her that all those who shall come afterwards shall find it" (True Devotion, #44).

He said he had "read nearly all the books which profess to treat of devotion to Our Lady" (True Devotion, #118).

Yet, this was his favorite Marian book, because it helped him find grace before God more than any other. It can do the same for you.

So far, I've given you just a taste of what you can expect when you say "YES!" to owning this book...
