The Horn of Africa

Spirit Flight the ability to voluntarily remove consciousness from ones own body and set it free to fly, also to allow it to inhabit the body of others, mainly animals, and to experience life through their senses emotions and physical body. Jamie returns from meeting his father for the first time in ten years and is ecstatic about having reconnected with him. His mother, however, does not share this enthusiasm and for the first time in his memory there is tension between them. His dad has invited him back to Ngonyama, near Nelspruit, for the spring break in September, and although his mom is against the trip, he goes to spend two weeks working at his dads wildlife veterinary practice. He reconnects with his childhood friend Siyabelo, his sangoma mentor Kubukele, and of course Samantha, the beautiful girl who has stolen his heart. Working with Kubukele he discovers that he possesses new powers, and with training and practice he attempts to become proficient in using them. There are poachers active in the area. They have been killing rhino and hacking the horns off. They have roamed the area for over a year now and their modus operandi indicates that the same group has now shot and killed dozens of rhinos. Jamie, Kubukele and Meshach Radebe, a ranger from the Parks board who heads the anti-poaching unit, hatch a plan that is both daring and dangerous. Their mission, to stop the poachers from killing more rhino, and to protect Amandla, the giant ancestral rhino, the Horn of Africa. And if possible, to catch the poachers. They are aware of the dangers. The poachers shoot to kill and are very good at doing just that. The poachers must be stopped, and Amandla must be protected at all costs. Can Jamie and his friends succeed? What no-one has taken into consideration is Amandla, the Ancestral Rhino and the Horn of Africa. The wild card in the equation. A huge surprise awaits them all in the final climax as the forces of good and evil battle for supremacy in the heart of the African bush.
