Maria, a girl in her late teens had finally found the love and security that her adopted family were able to give her. Her early childhood had been riddled with untold misery and suffering which had continued into puberty; but now three years of happiness had secured a meaningful relationship with life, turning a once introverted personality into that of an astute and dependable member of a society she could accept.
