For generations, the empire rescued and ruled by Wess and Wren stood strong. It became the center of admiration and instruction for all the races, the home of the greatest iether-based innovations, and the bastion of belief in a powerful and benevolent Creator.

Released from a time lock of a century's duration, Nirim awakes to a world vastly different from the one he knew. The empire is gone, his friends are gone, no one remembers their dark enemy, and everywhere his kind is despised or ignored. More than that, he has nearly nothing to explain to him why he was left behind or what he is supposed to be doing. What happened to his home during his hiatus? What do Miralla's cryptic messages mean? What could the Creator possibly want from him?

Nirim must travel in search of answers, trusting in the Creator's unseen hand and piecing together the puzzle that is his new life. With each step of his journey and each challenge that arises, Nirim realizes something far greater than himself is at work, and if he fails, the world will suffer for it. Can he and his ragtag team of companions fulfill their purpose, or will all their efforts come to nothing?
