Strong and independent San Diego investment manager, Liz Whalen, has survived a lifetime of heartache at the age of thirty-two. Always managing to get back up and move forward, she must do it again after the death of her husband in a motorcycle accident. Now, three years after the tragic event, Liz is ready to move on but questions whether she'll find love again-her belief the all-encompassing emotion only happens once in a lifetime, if at all.

Traveling to Turks and Caicos with her best friend, Liz encounters a handsome Irishman and Washington, D.C., lawyer Shane Moore.
