The year I turned forty, I decided to go on a journey to fall back in love with myself, returning home to me after cracking at the stoic foothold. I wasn't prepared for what would follow. My entire world came crashing down. It's crescendo a near death experience, almost drowning one late summer evening and the rescue that saved my life.
