The Knock on the Door

The Knock on the Door is the story of one mother's journey through the dark passages of grief and to the light that led to a rebuilt faith. When Maureen Bragger answered a knock on the door in the pre-dawn hours of a November morning, her world turned upside down. The news of her son's tragic death opened more than the chasm of grief in her soul. It threatened to take out the foundation on which her life was built--her faith in Jesus Christ. She started to write through the whole experience. Writing became the process by which she survived, healed, and reconnected with God. Her writing became this story--a story of a mother's love and the miraculous rebuilding of her faith in Christ, the One who created her and loves her to the end.
