First book in a fairy tale for adults which is also available in a Danish version.
This is a different kind of fairy tale, experienced from within. It unfolds in an entirely new world with details created through years of study and elaboration.
The magic is found in man and in nature, without dragons and wizards; it grows throughout the story, and it does not dwindle into a dreary posterity. Deeds are created by love rather than duty. Gentle is not soft, tough is not hard. West is not best, wolves are not worst. The outer action is no more important than the inner journey.
There is no omniscient storyteller, so the reader follows every step of the way; and so does the horse. The tale includes song, rhymes, and old runes, and there is a special kind of maps, showing everything from the very beginning, and eventually all the way.
