Surprised!
The windmills of my youth lie silent; I'll tilt at them no more.
The world will find its way alone; I'm content behind my door.

The White Whale has died alone - far away from shore.
It really doesn't matter though, they don't seek him anymore.

My poet days are far behind, my muse sleeps peacefully.
I remember when he roared - stirred up the best in me!

All things in their time, they say, I bear no bitterness.
Sometimes, still, late at night, I still find it hard to rest.

This evening was a full moon, Such splendid silver light!
