'The Law and the Politics of the State'

Laws, politics and the understanding of policies are central institutions of every state and chunk of governments energies are channeled into these areas daily. Nevertheless, these aspects especially matters of legalities and issues of policies have not attracted much attention from political scientists and academicians especially in Africa, despite the enormous importance to governments and the citizenry. The book examines and explores the issues and how the State initiates, formulate and enact policies to affect the public behaviors and attitudes. It is organized around three thematic areas: law, human rights and public policy. It should be of utmost importance and interest to students of political science, teachers and public administrators.
