Asil is a true story based on the authors life. Asil's life is just beginning, so why does she have so much on her mind? "The Life of Asil", is a little book that tackles the big issue of teen and preteen self esteem, self image and body shaming from their peers, particularly amongst young girls and women. Asil is a fourteen year old smart, energetic "go getter" who struggles with the "healthy" body that she owns and later learns to love. "The Life of Asil", proves that with support from her family and friends, Asil and maybe even someone you might know like Asil, will find her personal peace.
