The first in a Trilogy, THE LIGHTROOM depicts a remnant of survivors one hundred years on from world destruction and divided between the idyllic island of Paradise and the volcanic island of Fodder. Kivi is a Fodderite, born and bred in the gloom of the underground workers colony. At sixteen, everyone of her birth year must take part in the Pairings--the enforced breeding programme. She is determined not to comply, but an out of bounds adventure with her childhood friend, Adan, turns her worst nightmare into a very present reality and exposes the truth of their existence. Now they must find a way to flee Fodder before an even greater darkness consumes them.
