The Linden Still Bloom

A memoir of a teen age girl who survived the holocaust through luck, courage and wit. An exciting page turner follows Rosa as the Nazis hunt and murder Jews, put them in a ghetto, make them slaves in Kaiserwald and Stutthoff concentration camp, and force them on a Death March. She escapes and repeatedly outwits the Germans, even working for their army. By the end of the war she is on her own in post war Germany and makes her way to Italy and Palestine.
The story is told with humor and a nonjudgemental assessment of human nature. It defies expectations of holocaust books and is not a grim and dark tale.
