The Lingerlings

Dr. Frank Mater, Ph.D., has a reputation for being somewhat of a cryptid expert, owing to his strange experience with a nasty pair of chupacabras. So when he hears that someone has reported seeing an unusual creature in the forests of east Texas, the zoologist enlists his kids and their cousin to go and check it out. Just for fun. Last summer, Marsha, Shawn, and Philo had an unbelievable adventure in (and under) the New Mexico desert. They aren't expecting a repeat of that kind of excitement on this camping trip with Dad, but when the young adventurers finally catch up with the odd little animal, they find more than just a suspected living fossil. Is this strange creature a remnant of Earth's past that has somehow remained hidden from the progression of time, or could it actually be an otherworldly piece of our Universe's future?
