The Literary Genres of Edmund Burke

This book explores the literary character of the political writings of the key eighteenth-century thinker, Edmund Burke. Though remembered today primarily as a parliamentarian and political thinker, Burke considered his many other intellectual and literary accomplishments to be of equal importance in defining who he was. In fact, recognizing the literary dimension of Burke's writings is a key to understanding his political thought.
