I wanted to dedicate this book to someone, but couldn't decide to whom.
Ultimately I phrased it: "For those who kept me wild"
Because it is often not just our own accomplishment, when we manage to honor our true selves.
We have role models that inspire us.
Friends who support us.
Parental figures who catch us when we fall.
And although I had all of those, it took me a very long time before I understood how important my freedom was to me. And that I had outgrown the relationship styles I was familiar with.
It was time for something new.

Something that contained both the deep unconditional love of romantic relationships, as well as the excitement and autonomy of single life.

Either by becoming a baby koala, or by taking care of one.
