The Lost Migration

Otis Billings grew up on a sheep ranch in the high desert of West Texas. The day before Otis  leaves home for college, his Uncle informs him that he is his biological father. Rather than confront his mother and father about the past, Otis pushes out into the world to create his own story.

Otis puts his desire to be great on hold but quickly becomes disillusioned with his office job and the parells of mediocrity. Saving $25,000, he buys a camper and sets off for California to write the next great American novel. In his quest for greatness he encounters hippies, hermits, wanderlusting travelers, and enough sex and drugs to keep himself from his ultimate goal.  In his exhaustive search for meaning, Otis will go anywhere except the place that holds his answers.
