The author examines the teachings of various religions with emphasis on the most prevalent religions and the validity of their claims. This book also discusses the purpose of religion and the effects of these religions on society. Although sometimes well meaning, religions encourage division and provide justification for cruelty to others. Persecution of and by religions is examined and religious wars are discussed.
