The Madman's Kingdom

Madman's Kingdom is a beautiful theatrical paradox. An unputdownable masterpiece that was detrimental to my sleep... The dialogues are highly educative and comedic. I admire the adrenaline-pumping fast-pace of the play, the ceaseless energy of the cast as well as the wildly caricatured yet comic lines they deliver. The play aptly captures a breakneck exercise in idiocy that made me laugh till tears stood in my eyes... traditional beliefs, imagined powers of herbalists, victimisation, fear-mongering, etc., are masterfully woven into the plot...
