The Magic Diamond

It’s a lovely hot summer’s day.  Ally, Joy and Xavier are off for a swim in their favourite little pool but Igno the Ignoramus has infected it with a spell of ‘ignorance’.  How can they return their pool to it’s natural beauty?  What is a ‘Magic Diamond’ and why can’t it be bought?  How can You acquire one?  Answers to this and other questions can be found inside the covers of ‘The Magic Diamond’.

Rationale:

We have as many neurons (thinking cells) in our brains (the intellect) as we do in our hearts (emotional intelligence) and our guts (instinctive intelligence – martial artists call this your ‘Central Power’).  ‘The Magic Diamond’ draws readers’ attention to these intelligences and uses standard academic practice of primary research and desk research to formulate their own conclusions, thus providing a blueprint for children on ‘how’ to evaluate and think for themselves.

The stories were borne from research conducted amongst children, who identified challenges they most needed help with, which responses correspond exactly with Maslow’s ‘Hierarchy of Needs’.

All stories have a cheeky villain who represent a challenge children requested help with and a formula for overcoming it.
