The Meritocrats

Are you a member of the ex-ruling race of the world - the race that brought justice and order to barbaric countries? We ruled the world with exception of inner Asia. Since World War I we handed over one country after another to savage tribes resulting in many of us being pariahs in the countries we and generations of our ancestors built up. Did we do it or is a mysterious force at work? The following apt article appeared in a German newspaper in 1960. Translated: "It is one of the riddles of our time, why the White man, lord of the earth from pole to pole, should in the short space of a single human generation, renounce his rule, draw back wearily from a worldwide power, so that today he is in panic-stricken flight, where yesterday he still governed inviolable." Can we reverse this awful situation? Alexander the Great, leader of a small oppressed country, overran most of the civilized world. In this story August started the process in his insignificant country. It set the whole world on fire.
