While attending a meditation retreat is an excellent way to learn the skill of mindfulness, it's not the only way. For most of us, meditation retreats go against the stream of life. Every time I disconnect from everything but my mind, my body, and the people silently sitting with me for ten days, I miss work or holidays. Or both.

When I set out to create The Mindful Life Journal I wanted to find a simple and effective way to practice mindfulness on an everyday basis. I wanted to get as many of the magical benefits of mindfulness as possible at the least cost of time, money, and effort.
