The Missing Vampire

Jared Baylor was not the type to leave without a trace. He would never leave his job, his belongings, and his friends behind. Yet, he had been missing for three months and no one had any leads to his whereabouts. Eighteen and being the most likely to escape the small town of Lones Lake, most assumed he ran away from the fake smiles and white lies but what if he was right under their noses after all that time? What if he wasn't running away or dead like the rumors from the barflies claimed?

Husher Carden was used to living in a small town, knowing everything about everyone. Husher was trouble since he was five and accidentally threw a pie at the mayor's wife. Half-truths, rumors, and saying 'bless their heart' when someone did something stupid was a must for living in Lones Lake. As the months grew colder Husher and his friends scramble to try and find Jared before it's too late. But are they able to make it in time or is Jared Baylor going to be another missing persons case left to be forgotten?
