The Model Classroom Approach

Across the nation, teacher shortages are becoming the norm, creating inequities in educational experiences for students. A lack of high-quality teachers results in a lack of quality instruction for students. The answer to recruiting and retaining high-quality teachers is model classrooms. Model classrooms set the standard for excellence regarding structure, procedures, and standards, while serving as an exemplar for other teachers to follow. In this book, campus and district leaders will gain the tools needed to create model classrooms; create a systematic approach to building teacher leader capacity; and addressing teacher shortages.
