Paul Foster Case said that rituals set in motion physical, etheric, astral, and mental processes whereby we may realize our aspirations. Rituals put us in direct contact with a current of light and consciousness, which has been transmitted without a break from very ancient times down to the present.

Dr. Case adopted the Golden Dawn rituals for his own Order, with modifications and additions throughout. Primarily, he replaced the God-form meditations with angelic images. However, the purpose and core structure of the Initiation, Equinox, Opening and Closing rituals are identical.
