The Northern Shoshoni

Historian Brigham Madsen has devoted much of his career to telling the story of the Shoshoni. The tribe once occupied a huge region that included portions of Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming and Montana. Madsen tells the story of these proud people and their struggle to adapt to the massive cultural changes that have occurred during the past 150 years.
